Abstract Presentation Types

Submit your abstract for:

  1. Oral Presentation: If accepted for oral presentation, you will be offered from 10 to 15 minute presentation timeslot during the plenary session.
  2. Poster Display: If accepted for poster display, you will have the poster on display throughout the Congress.

 

Language: English. All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.

Word limit: 250 words excl. title, authors and affiliations.

Review of abstracts: All abstracts are reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The Scientific Committee holds the right to offer the author another presentation type or category than the type and category chosen during submission.

Abstracts publication: By submitting an abstract to EB Congress 2024, submitters give their consent to the publication of the submitted abstract in the Congress material (e.g., website)

Registration of the presenting author

After acceptance of an oral or poster abstract, the presenting author must register for the full 4-days conference.

Deadline for registration: 31 March 2024

 

Failure to register may cause exclusion of the abstract and presentation at the Congress.

To support attendance at the Congress, DEBRA International is inviting applications for travel grants from member groups of DEBRA International as well as from people living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB) or advocating for people with EB who currently reside in Africa or in the Middle East.

This grant can only be used to help cover the costs of: 

  1. Basic registration fee for the event excluding fees for any social activities

  2. Travel equivalent to the most economic fare available for the journey

  3. Budget accommodation which meets reasonable requirements and standards

All information on how to apply for a travel grant is written below and included in the application form.

Application criteria
  • All sections of the application form must be completed in full.

  • Only the following people may apply:

    • current full and associate member groups of DEBRA International

    • people living with EB (person with EB, parent of a child with EB, close relative of a person with EB) currently residing in Africa or the Middle East

    • people advocating for those with EB currently residing in Africa or the Middle East

  • The applicant must be the person attending the event.

  • The maximum amount of funding available is up to €1,500 per applicant. A caregiver accompanying someone with EB may be granted additional funding. This is not guaranteed and subject to approval.

  • The grant budget is capped. Some applications may be declined due to funding constraints.
